For the Trendvision Awards 2016 I got asked by creative hair stylist Mark van Westerop of Pro-Solo and Kim Vos of BDifferent to add a conceptual layer to their ‘INFINITY’ idea by developing a concept and a live performance during the show presentation.
My concept and performance was the link between the infinity of connections. As with every ‘INTERVENING SPACE’ concept, I wanted to put focus on the human action by using my entire body, and to connect the several elements within the entire story/show.
I wanted to use my limbs in the broadest way possible; also by the use of specific “forgotten” details of my limbs [like an earlobe or the tiptoe of my nose], as, through this, I could be the dynamic, fictional pipette that adapted the serene clothing pieces created by fashion designer Barbara Langendijk. I was the ‘finishing’ of the created clothing pieces, and celebrated a gradient during the show with my body [I was the pipette] by playing with East-Indian ink. I was the dynamic factor in the show, the spider of the web. The show and concept will continue and develop further by traveling all over the world, starting with a show in Moscow, Russia.
